Zachary Riyaz

Zachary I. Riyaz is a Consultant at Grahall, LLC, in addition to being Partner with the law firm of Riyaz LLP.  He specializes in corporate litigation, providing legal counsel related to employment compensation and human resource regulatory compliance. Zachary also counsels private companies with respect to their strategic business decisions, law and technology. He has a history of working with senior management in order to harmonize the legal responsibilities of a company. Zachary is a specialist in solving complex legal issues related to executive contracts, government affairs and compensation projects.

 

Prior to joining Grahall, LLC, Zachary was a partner at Foster, Vandenburgh & Riyaz LLP.  Zachary worked as a judicial intern for the Supreme Court Justice, Thomas Whalen, at the Unified Court System of the State of New York, where he was responsible for background research necessary to resolve complex legal matters including corporate litigation.

 

Before working for the Supreme Court Justice, Mr. Riyaz represented clients before the New York State Department of Labor with respect to unemployment insurance. In addition to the foregoing, Zachary also served as a certified mediator in the Albany City Court.

 

He received his BA from Stony Brook University, his JD from Union University, Albany Law School and MBA from Cornell University’s S.C. Johnson Graduate School of Management.

 

Zachary I. Riyaz has over sixteen (16) years of litigation, contributed to over 600 matrimonial cases and has extensive mediation experience as a Counselor at Law.  He is also admitted to practice in the United States District Court – Eastern District of New York.
